What Our Guests Say

Real safari experiences from travelers who explored Uganda with Rwenzori Safaris.

Greetings to you and Tvent Rwenzori Safris Team,

My wife and I enjoyed a brief but vivid visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park in southwestern Uganda. With only one day to spend in the park we were able to experience a game drive in the morning, a delicious lunch at the beautiful Mweya Safari Lodge and an afternoon boat trip through the Kazinga Channel.

The owner of Tvent Rwenzori Safris personally arranged for our visit. He grew up nearby and is very familiar with the area. During the game drive we saw numerous animals including waterbuck, bushbuck, baboons, warthogs, elephants, a leopard and a lion in separate trees.

Mweya Safari Lodge is a beautiful place to stay or just enjoy a meal from their dining balcony overlooking the Kazinga Channel. Water safaris set out from the boat dock just below the lodge.

The Kazinga Channel runs 32 kilometers between Lake Edward and Lake George. On the boat ride our knowledgeable guide pointed out and named dozens of species of beautiful birds such as Great Cormorants, Saddlebills, Yellow-billed Storks, Fish Eagles and Kingfishers. Many elephants came to the shore of the channel to drink and cool off in the water. There are numerous water buffalo and we also saw many crocodiles. The channel boat tour in itself was one of the natural highlights of our 10 months in Uganda. We plan to return and have much more as we discovered every different region in Uganda gives you a different treat of attraction.

Thank you for being our trip advisor.
