Day-by-Day Itinerary

A daily route covering the full 6-day safari, transfers, activities, lodges, and meals.

Your arrival into Uganda begins with a warm welcome at Entebbe International Airport by your TVent Rwenzori Safaris guide. Immediately depart for Murchison Falls National Park, stopping at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rhinos on foot. Learn about ongoing conservation efforts and enjoy a picnic lunch. Proceed to Murchison Falls, where you’ll marvel at the mighty Nile squeezing through a 7-meter gorge. Arrive at your lodge in time for dinner.

Where to Stay: Chobe Safari Lodge (luxury), Pakuba Safari Lodge (midrange), or Red Chili Rest Camp (budget).

Meals: Lunch and Dinner.

Start the day with a thrilling game drive on the northern bank of the Nile. Spot iconic wildlife such as elephants, lions, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffalo, and possibly a leopard. Bird enthusiasts can look out for species like the Abyssinian ground hornbill and the African fish eagle. In the afternoon, take a relaxing boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls, where you’ll encounter hippos, crocodiles, and waterbirds such as the Goliath heron. End the day with a hike to the top of the falls for panoramic views.

Enjoy a scenic drive southwest to Kibale Forest, known as the "Primate Capital of the World." You will drive through rolling tea plantations, traditional villages, and lush countryside. The journey offers opportunities to spot birds such as the African grey parrot and black bee-eater. Arrive at your lodge in the evening, where you can relax and prepare for the next day’s chimpanzee trekking adventure.

Set out in the morning for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale Forest. Spot these lively primates and other wildlife, including red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and colorful birds like the great blue turaco and green-breasted pitta. After lunch, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time for a sunset game drive in the Kasenyi Plains. Watch out for lions, hyenas, and large herds of Uganda Kob.

Begin your day with a game drive in the Kasenyi area, famous for its lions, Uganda Kob, and large herds of buffalo. Keep an eye out for elephants and warthogs. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, home to one of the densest concentrations of hippos in Africa. You’ll also spot crocodiles, elephants along the shores, and vibrant waterbirds such as African skimmers, saddle-billed storks, and pink-backed pelicans.

After breakfast, embark on your journey back to Entebbe. En route, stop at the equator for photos and craft shopping. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a brief visit to Entebbe’s vibrant markets or the Uganda Wildlife Education Center. Optional activities include visiting a cultural heritage center or enjoying a birdwatching session around Entebbe’s shores. If you have time before your flight you could take a boat ride to Mabamba, the only place that can offer you an up and close opportunity to catch site of the reclusive Shoebill Stork. Or even a quick visit to Lutembe Wetland an important nesting, brooding and breeding ground for Palearctic birds. Your safari concludes with a transfer to the airport for your departure, filled with memories of Uganda’s wildlife and landscapes.
