Your adventure begins from the moment you touch down at Entebbe International Airport, where you will receive a warm and friendly welcome from your Rwenzori Safaris Africa guide. After a short briefing, embark on a scenic drive through Uganda’s countryside to Lake Mburo National Park, a hidden gem located just four to five hours away. Along the way, a must stop over at the equator for unforgettable photos and fascinating demonstrations of the equators clockwise and anti-clockwise magnetic pulls. Once at the National Park, you will have accommodation options ranging from luxury to budget to choose from. Then immediately you will be checked into the lodge of your choice to relax and freshen up before your first adventure on the itinerary: an evening game drive where you’ll spot zebras, impalas, and herds of buffalo against the backdrop of Uganda’s golden savannah. Where to Stay:There are three options to select from: Mihingo Lodge (luxury), Rwakobo Rock (midrange), or Eagles Nest Lodge (budget).

Meals: Lunch and Dinner.

Your second day will start with an exhilarating morning game drive to catch sight of giraffes, the elusive elands, perhaps fleeting glances of the colobus monkeys and even leopards. If you are up to it, you could follow this with a mid-morning walking safari, immersing yourself in Lake Mburo’s tranquil savannah and acacia forests. In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely boat cruise on Lake Mburo, where hippos, crocodiles, and water birds like the African fish eagle create unforgettable moments. In the evening, delve into Uganda’s rich cultural tapestry at the Igongo Cultural Center. Discover the history and traditions of the Ankole people through engaging exhibits and performances. Return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest.

On the third day of your safari, wake up to a delicious bush breakfast as the morning sun rises, illuminating the serene landscape. If you’re feeling adventurous, opt for a horseback safari, a unique way to experience Lake Mburo’s wildlife. Afterwards, begin your journey back to Entebbe, making a farewell stop at a vibrant craft market to pick up souvenirs. Reflect on your adventure as you prepare for departure or the next leg of your journey.
